University Lecturing
In addition to the delivery of projects, Jackman Enterprises has developed a University lecture course in project management theory and practice for both undergraduates and postgraduates. This has been delivered at a number of educational establishments including the University of Manchester.
Jackman Enterprises has been invited to deliver lectures on practical project management at a number of universities including Manchester and University Campus Suffolk. This is a mix of both undergraduate engineering students and postgraduate business studies students. The lectures cover the methodologies described in our What We Offer page. These techniques are brought alive with real life project examples. The lectures are followed by a series of workshops and seminars with practical team exercises. This covers team building, presentation skills, problem solving amongst others. JE works closely with academics to ensure the material is integrated with the overall course content and meets the needs of the careers advisory service who sponsor these events. It is very rewarding to work with young and aspiring engineers and business students.
DUNCAN DELIVERED AN ENGAGING LECTURE ON PRACTICAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT USING MANY REAL LIFE PROJECT EXAMPLES THAT WERE BOTH INSTRUCTIONAL AND ENTERTAINING FOR THE UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS. FOLLOWING THIS, HE LED SEMINARS AND WORKSHOPS ON TEAM WORKING AND OTHER SKILLS. THE STUDENT FEEDBACK WAS VERY POSITIVE FOLLOWING THE ‘SPECIFY A BOTTLE OF BEER’ EXERCISE!
