Crossrail Station Systems Integration

London’s biggest rail project

Crossrail is London’s new subterranean railway providing a service from Reading in the West to Shenfield in the East, and Abbey Wood south of the river via a central section of 21km of twin-bore tunnels.  This immense infrastructure programme became stressed prior to its original opening date of Dec 2018.  Since this point, the project was re-planned and put on course for a successful opening.  A consultancy package was delivered by Jackman Enterprises towards the end of the Crossrail programme to add capability to the station systems integration activity during the final Testing and Commissioning phase.  This covered the many diverse Mechanical and Electrical systems along with data and communications at 9 new stations across London.

Duncan provided strong leadership in the final stages of station system integration, test and commissioning. He consistently demonstrated good collaboration and a very proactive management style. Duncan was key to defining a new strategy for the delivery of the station commissioning programme which has significantly reduced programme risk
