Commonwealth Games
Glasgow 2014 was a hugely successful Commonwealth Games both for the sporting achievements and for the City of Glasgow. Behind the scenes, Selex delivered perimeter security to 20 venues and used Jackman Enterprises to provide top level consultancy plus hands on day to day project management. Security was tight at the games and JE was proud to be part of this high profile project.
This assignment began with a project healthcheck which identified certain aspects where additional management focus was required. The Games presented certain challenges around deadlines which enabled very small windows of access to venues to install and commission the fences and security systems. This required very precise planning and scheduling. In particular, JE worked with the Selex planning team to optimise the schedule of activities and with the Health and Safety team to ensure safe working in the hurried environment. In addition to this, day-to-day delivery management was provided by JE personnel.
Duncan, I would like to thank you for the huge value you have delivered and the material positive impact you have had on our project. I definitely intend to use Jackman Enterprises for further assignments and would recommend their services to any client in need of specialist project management interventions.
